Who are we and what we believe...

WHO ARE WE?

We are a group of Christians who have a personal faith in Jesus Christ, God's Son.

We believe that He was born into mankind so that He might become God's perfect sacrifice when he was put to death on the cross. In his death He paid the penalty for our sins so that we might be forgiven. We believe God raised Him from the dead and He now lives in Heaven in God's presence. Because of a simple faith in Jesus Christ, we have God's assurance of eternal life, in the presence of his Son, our Saviour and friend.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4 v 10)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3 v 16)

WHAT WE BELIEVE?

The Bible is infallible because it is the inspired Word of God. Our lives and church practises are based on the teachings of the New Testament.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God. (2 Timothy 3 v 16)

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. (John 13 v 34)

God is all powerful and is made known in three equal persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirt.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. (2 Corinthians 13 v 14)

God is the creator and sustainer of all life.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1v1)

For in Him (God) we live, and move, and have our being. (Acts 17v26)

God is holy and righteous.

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. (Psalms 145v17)

We have a sinful nature that separates us from God.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. (Romans 5v12)

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3v23)

Because God is righteous and just, He requires a punishment for sin.

Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 9:24)

God sent his only Son, the Lord Jesus, to take the punishment we deserve when he died on the cross.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (John 3v16-17)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5v8)

God raised his Son from the dead, and because of His resurrection, we too can have new life.

As Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6v4)

The only way to God is through his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14v6)

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4v12)

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; (1 Timothy 2v5)

God wants all men and woman everywhere to be saved.

[God] Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2v4)
